do you have the service helper running?? There should be an option to
activate it via the Programs Menu, and I believe it can be manually started
via "winvnc -servicehelper".

Thanks for your response...

No errors appear except the inability to connect. It seems as thought the
service isn't really there even though it is listed as installed and running
under services. I am able to start the App Mode application while the
service is running - I thought this was not supposed to work.

I'm at W2K SP2 and have loaded the most current version of VNC.

If I reinstall are there additional tasks I need to perform to completely
remove the product?

Thanks,
John Dillon

Hello:

I apologize if I've missed this topic in a previous discussion... I'm having
trouble getting VNC to work correctly on a Win 2000 Server. It will work if
I use the App Mode method but the service doesn't seem to work right. The
service is installed and started but I can't connect with my VNC client. Is
there something special that needs to be done to get this to work under Win
2000? I've tried un-installing and re-installing several times.

Thanks,
John Dillon
