Hello,

I use VNC Viewer 3.3.3 R3 on Win NT viewing my linux box fullscreen at
1280x960x32. And it works smooth most of the time ove my 100 MBit
crossover cable.
But when the screenserver from Linux starts (KSlideShow) I cant use my
client anymore when the slide changes b/c the VNC client took all the
CPU usage. How can I make VNC to update the screen at low priority while
in background?

The second question is: will viewing video like applications over the
net ever be possible (e.g. with Gigabit Ethernet?)? Where are the
limitations? Does the video get scaled on the server or the client side?

The third question: how does VNC compare to using a XServer under
Windows (optional via ssh)?

And the last question is: I've read in the archives that VNC was build
with the sources of XFree 3.3. Is that still true?

TIA and Regards,
Helge
