Hi Dietmar,

Sorry for the misleading error message box. It wasn't "VNC
Authentication failed!" but "Connection Closed".

I did what you suggested but to no avail. I ran the "show deafult
settings" and entered the password and I used the Service Helper in the
system tray to enter the same password.

Regards.
Tony

Subject: WinVNC on a W2K Server

Hi Everyone,

I've had no trouble installing WinVNC on a Windows 2000 Server, but when
I try to access it from my Windows 2000 Workstation, it pops up with the
VNC Authentication Box, requesting for the session password. On entering
the correct session password (trust me), it returns with the message VNC
Authentication failed!.

Any suggestion/ideas on how to overcome this snag, are welcome and
appreciated.

Regards.
Tony
