I've been using VNC on Corel Linux for a long time. Now, I've switched to
RedHat Linux 7.1. I am runing the GNOME Desktop. When I connect to it from
VncViewer running on W2K, I get the blank desktop as described in Q20 of the
FAQ. I know I have to start the desktop manager in the ~/.vnc/xstartup script.
But I can't find its name anywhere. I've been through all the startup scripts
but I can't find it anywhere. On Corel Linux I was using KDE, so it was
started by startkde. But I can't find the name of the equivalent startup
daemon for GNOME. I'm sure many people are using VNC on RedHat witj GNOME.
Give me a hint, please?
