We have all seen way too many questions regarding the winvnc tray icon.
Here is what I use:

This utility lets you modify the winvnc.exe to remove the tray icon or any
other menus you want to mess with.

Use this for good, not evil.  I strongly suggest you get your boss to sign
something before using VNC without a tray icon at your place of work.  If
not, you may end up with a new job.
