When I was running a Linux and Windows box side-by-side, I used
x2vnc to "control" the Windows box from the Linux box. When the mouse
cursor went to the left edge of the screen, mouse movements were sent
to the Windows box.
However, the holy grail was not reached:
- a Windows port of of x2vnc so you can control Windows from Windows
- client VNC windows, where you could drag a Unix window to the
Windows desktop, and have the client area of the Unix window be
displayed in a VNC client on the Windows machine.
Drool... :)
Speaking of which, I wonder how hard it would be to have the VNC
server just export the client area of a single window instead of the
whole desktop...
