I had this in the past, going to 16 bit colour or true colour option helped
me, but the speed was useless, so I installed vnc into the nt install in the
vmware. Now I just vnc to the nt and all is well, I can still vnc the redhat
console to start then go to the nt IP.

II got the contr -alt escape to work with the vncview by using the drop
down box and dwon arrow down arrow esc. My vmware box is still black. I
assume this is an X problem. Is it a screen resolution or a X version
problem?
