(Works in NT/2000, not sure about 9x machines)
Try this...
Open a command prompt.
Browse to the directory where vncviewer is located. (Maybe move it to a
nicer location...like c:\vncviewer\)
At the command prompt type 'start vncviewer {machinename/ipaddress}'
This way does not create an entry in the MRU list in the registry.
Oh, and you could create a batch file to do this.
Create a text file. Place just the one command line in it. (start
vncviewer machinename/ipaddress) Then rename the files extension to
.bat instead of .txt.
*NOTE: Make sure the path to vncviewer is correct.

Oh well... I was hoping for a switch somewhere.

In a nutshell I usually type in the IP address. I'd rather it displayed
that than the machine name. For example, if I VNC from Work to Home my
machine names at home are Muppets and don't look like professional
something or other if someone stops and looks at my screen.
