Cd to the Xvnc directory and do a find ./ -name "*.h" -exec grep -i
\#define.*max.*conne
This should give you the header file that houses the MAXCONNECT definition
which is 128.
Then change it to 256. In that same file change also MAXOPEN I think. But
be careful not to change the wrong define or to increase it above 512,
because it will cause Xvnc to be unstable. If you try 512 you'll still
only get ~200 clients.
Do a make clean Then recompile with make World under ./Xvnc.
Hi Haim,
How did you hard code the increase in clients?
Cheers
Richard.

Subject: RE: Increase number of clients for Xvnc
Update:
I have been able to hard code and recompile the Xvnc server to give me upto
200 clients.
Is there an option that's not in the help that can let me do this instead?
I'm running Solaris 8 CDE and cannot open more than 40 windows per display.
I get the following error: Xlib cannot connect to server too many
connections.
How do I increase the number of clients that can connect to Xvnc?
I know that for Xsun there is a -client n option. Is there one for Xvnc?
Thanks
Haim Lichaa
