Hiya all,
  I'm having a problem with connection from both
the X vncviewer and NT vncviewer through an ssh tunnel.
  I have set the registry entry on the server as follows:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORL\WinVNC3\Default]
"SocketConnect"=dword:00000001
"AutoPortSelect"=dword:00000001
"InputsEnabled"=dword:00000001
"LocalInputsDisabled"=dword:00000000
"IdleTimeout"=dword:00000000
"QuerySetting"=dword:00000002
"QueryTimeout"=dword:0000000a
"Password"=hex:19,1a,29,e2,ac,d5,a1,c3
"PollUnderCursor"=dword:00000000
"PollForeground"=dword:00000001
"PollFullScreen"=dword:00000000
"OnlyPollConsole"=dword:00000001
"OnlyPollOnEvent"=dword:00000000
"AllowLoopback"=dword:00000001

Server was restarted after installation and changes to registry.

The tunnel is setup as follows:
Client is FreeBSD with OpenSSH and VNC Viewer 3.3.3r1
(Also tried with Windows Client)

Server is NT 2k,sp2 with cygwin open sshd and winvnc3.3.3r9

I start the tunnel:
ronie@pestilence (~) $ ssh -l Administrator -L 5901:10.0.0.194:5900 10.0.0.194
[EMAIL PROTECTED]'s password:
Warning: Remote host denied X11 forwarding.
Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]
(C) Copyright 1985-2000 Microsoft Corp.

C:\>

Then I try and connect with telnet to localhost:5901 (test tunnel)
ronie@pestilence (~) $ telnet localhost 5901
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.isp.digifone.
Escape character is '^]'.
RFB 003.003

That looks good.

Now I try with the viewer:
ronie@pestilence (~) $ vncviewer 127.0.0.1:5901
VNC server supports protocol version 3.3 (viewer 3.3)
VNC connection failed: Local loop-back connections are disabled.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Argh, there it is,
does anyone know what could the problem be?

Kind regards and thanks,

-Ronie.
