VNC wins hands down in my experience. I've tried using
Netmeeting to share desktops with users across ISDN. Talk about
slow! If you're using VNC on 8 bit colour, okay - it chuggs too, but
Tridia with tight compression is a hell of a lot faster.
Netmeeting can be awkward to set up and will it keep the
connection to the desktop open if the user logs off? I've not tried it,
but somehow I doubt it. I know win9x drops any <ahem> "service"
when the user logs off (unlike NT or Linux).
The best thing about VNC (other than it being free <g>) is that it's
cross platform. I can control our linux servers, NT boxes and link
up to Macs if I need to.
[I just need a VNC server to run on Netware 5 now <wink>]
