Mu curent Win2k installation also does exactly the same, I just live with
it (I have a win2k on another partition, exact hardware, same service pack,
but does NOT do this).

There is definatly something flakey with installshield under NT/2K. I also
noticed that MSI based setup apps do not suffer this problem, maybe
Micro$oft is trying to push everybody to MSI installers by making previous
Installshield setup.exe based installations flakey under NT/2k. has anyone
considered distribting VNC with MSI installer? I believe it allows
deployment via SMS.
