Hello:

I'd like to take Xnest from the XFree86 distribution (which is essentially a
video driver) and modify it such that it
maintains a virtual framebuffer (like Xvnc does now) and
also draws the nested X display into a window.

Where can I download the XFree86 3.3.2 "server only" distribution Xvnc is
based on and diff'ed against? I tried hard to find it...

Also, is there a reason why Xvnc is based on this particular version of
XFree86?

Which versions of XFree86 use a _different_ video driver interface than
3.3.2?

Could I simply take the hw/xnest directory from version 3.3.6?

Thank you very much,

-Bernd
