I don't know the reason for this problem, but I'm getting it from a 2K SP2
Pro workstation over a dialup link into a RAS box through to an NT4 SP6a
server, and I'm climbing the walls. Works over a LAN from SP2 Pro to
NT4SP6a, just not over dialup. I fink it's der client end for that reason.
Any ideas appreciated, since I'm climbing the walls - I reckon that SP2 does
summat 'orrible to the IP stack over dialup connections, since although I
can ping by IP, I can no longer ping by hostname, so the WINS client has
keeled over.
