Thanks for all the suggestions, my solution was to sign up with no-ip.com.
You register (free) for a DNS name ie barneyrubble.no-ip.com and run a small
utility on your PC that informs their DNS server of your IP address. I was
playing around with it last night and it works very well, I would connect then
ping my DNS name then disconnect connect again ping my DNS name and it would
resolve correctly to the new address.

Go to http://www.no-ip.com there you can register and they are exactly your
solution (dynamic ip address). You can then download their client and he'll
update you're ip automatically.

I wank to VNC to my home PC from work over the internet, My dial-up modem
connection is occasionally dropped and the IP address will change every time
the PC reconnects. Any suggestion for obtaining my IP address remotely?
