You'll have to (as my predecessor metioned) set up your router to forward
the two ports, then you have to access the wan-ip, in this case **.**.**.**
from outside the LAN.

Betreff: Dialup connection and WinVNC(Personal Web)

Dear all, Here is my situation, I have three PCs. One of them is installed
a win98. In this PC, winVNC is installed. These PCs are connected through
LAN. And I dial up to ISP from router set in my LAN. The connection with
ISP is not temporary but perpetual. ( I do not have domain name, but ISP
automatically gives the specific global IP address to me by perpetual
connection.) In my lan, private ip addresses is as follows. router
xx.xx.xx.1 PC with winVNC xx.xx.xx.8 other pc xx.xx.xx.xx
And ISP gives to me the global IP address "**.**.**.**" When I enter
xx.xx.xx.8:58xx in IE ver 5 by using other pc of above LAN , I can get
access to PC with winVNC. However, when I enter xx.xx.xx.8:58xx or
**.**.**.**:58xx in IE ver 5 by using a pc outside LAN, I cannot get access
to PC with win VNC. Please instruct how set up winVNC or router, I cannot
access PC with WinVNC from a pc outside LAN, can I ? Thanks in advance.
Best Regard,
