Yes.  It's debatable whether the "shell-variable" scheme used there is
"better" than the Apache scheme - the latter is harder to parse but
degrades more gracefully in the presence of a non-SSI server (it all looks
like comments to the browser), and is more compatible with deployed Web
servers and Webmasters' experience.

It remains to be seen which I implement...
