It seems faster than than other clients, but not nearly as fast as the
original ATT VNC viewer running in Classic on top of the same OS X. VNC in
Classic is just a little bit slower than VNC under Mac OS 8.x/9.x. I may
be spoilt being used to no visible delays running with millions of colors
and 1152x870 resolution with full blown graphic applications, but now it's
difficult to leave it behind after upgrading to a faster machine+
(supposedly) better OS.

I believe my priorities would be:
1) Speed (whatever of the above it takes)
2) Security
3) Luxury items like Keychain.

After all, you have to enter the password only once per session, but you
have to coordinate your input and output all the time. Which is pretty
difficult to do if the speed is not high enough to reflect changes in the
drawings in reasonable time.
