Short answer, no. VNC is strictly TCP/IP. You're looking at a netbios
address (or smb, nbt, netbeui, what have you).

Howerver, win2k is capable of doing dynamic dns and dhcp. I run a win2k
enterprise from a few ISC BIND/ISC DHCP servers, using a perl script that
feeds dhcp leases into dynamic update packets. VNC is our main helpdesk
tool.

I understand that it is possible to do something similar with win2k's dhcpd,
but I try not to let windows touch the server side of things.
