Hi Maikel, Like Dries Feys I installed the latest virus definitions 4120 and rescanned my system with the same result: NO Viruses. Therefore again: Try to get rid of the virus (including a complete deinstallation of VNC) and then download a clean version. Additionally you could consult the McAfee Virus Library at http://vil.nai.com/vil/default.asp to get more information about the virus and the possible way it took to get into your system. Probably if you download the new virus definitions 4.0.4120 from 7 Feb like i mentioned in the topic you will get the same problem. No viruses were found even in WinVNC Version 3.3.3R7 which I downloaded on 11th January 2001. So I believe your system wasn't infected installing WinVNC but before or - much probably - thereafter. I suggest you try to get rid of the viruses (including a complete deinstallation of VNC) and then downloading a clean version. Are more people having this problem and does anyone have a solution for it, or maybe there is a fast way for us VNC users to make clear to Mcaffee that VNC isn't a virus but a verry handy tool. ______________ Maikel van Mierlo (IS Department)__________________ Heerema Marine Contractors Address: Vondellaan 47, 2332 AA Leiden, The Netherlands Phone: +31 - (0)71- 579 9439, Fax: +31 - (0)71 - 579 9099 Email:[EMAIL PROTECTED] __________________________________________________ Deze informatie is uitsluitend bestemd voor de geadresseerde.
