Hello, out there, i hope somebody can help me with this, as I mentioned I work with a SCO UNIWARE 7.1.0 on intel box... I can start the vncserver, as you can see below, but when I start the viewer from my WIN 2K pc I get a grey screen even if i start the viewer on the unix itself (looking to itself) also grey. I looked into the FAQ list but playing around with the twm or pmwm did not change anything last remark: strange is that the title on the viewer mentioned "root's X desktop (sco-unix:1) regards, Wim -10s [/usr/local/bin] ./vncserver xauth: (argv):1: bad display name "sco-unix.L10D00:1" in "add" command New 'X' desktop is sco-unix.L10D00:1 Starting applications specified in //.vnc/xstartup Log file is //.vnc/X.log ****************************************** [/usr/local/bin] cat /.vnc/X.log rfbInitSockets: listening on TCP port 5901 httpInitSockets: listening on TCP port 5801 /usr/X/bin/xsetroot: unable to open display 'sco-unix.L10D00:1' /usr/X/bin/twm: unable to open display "sco-unix.L10D00:1" Error: Can't open display: sco-unix.L10D00:1 Error: Couldn't find per display information Error: Can't open display: sco-unix.L10D00:1 Error: Couldn't find per display information --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send a message with the line: unsubscribe vnc-list to [EMAIL PROTECTED] See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
