I have configured a SS20 (Solaris 2.7) to use tight encoding dialing out via PPP on a 56K line (connect at about 24) to a Win98 machine. (This then runs two other layers of remote access links (!) to connect to a very large IBM server in downtown LA.) Tight encoding is the best yet for my application. The system is used a few hours a day a few days a week. There have never been any failures. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send a message with the line: unsubscribe vnc-list to [EMAIL PROTECTED] See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
