Okay, another piece put away but I still cannot get the
Web Browser feature working.
I have FreeBSD 4.2 and Xvnc is running great. I had to add
the jdk1.1.8 port in order to compile the vnc_javasrc files
and now that is done.
I start the server with vncserver command and I can access the
system through the vncviewer from Win9x just fine. But then I
enter IE5.5 and put in http://myurl.com:5801/ and get Page Can
Not Be Found error!
The docs are scattered all over the place on this. There is no one
place to look. Some places say use 5801 others say 5900. When
I tried 5901 I got a page that says "RFB 003.003". At least there
was no error here but it's still no-cigar!
