We are using VNC to access an application written using a unix mmi product called Sammi, and it all works great, except that values displayed on the screen which are supposed to be blinking are not. The cursor in an xterm does blink when viewed with vncviewer, so I suspect that Sammi is doing the blinking by changing the colours of the displayed value only, and not rewriting the data, so that VNC doesn't see it as an update. This is using the latest versions of vnc and vncviewer on windows or unix, and has been this way for the year or so that I have been playing around with VNC.
