Just throwing out ideas here, but couldn't a tftp server/client setup work
reasonably well?? Searching briefly, I found a free tftp server for Windows
that looks to be under 100KB
(http://membres.tripod.fr/phjounin///P_tftpd32.htm#DEMO). I'd like to find
a (free) graphical tftp client for Windows, though...

Ouch! I suppose you could build an installer (or a .bat file) to automate
everything except the shortcut on the server.... perhaps you could even
create the server shortcuts (on NT at least) by having your .bat browse the
\Profiles folder
