Dan, I'm not familiar with TeamViewer, but your copy-and-past problem can probably be solved with vncconfig. You have to start this process on the VNC server to enable clipboard transfers. It's been a while since I've messed with mine, but I believe you need to start it up in GUI mode (no options) to configure the behavior. After that you can use the -nowin option to run it in the background.
