The need to pay is bullshit. I've run a vnc-server on hp-ux in the past century. In the 1990's, I used the binary Xvnc for/on hp-ux. You should be able to find a hpux package for free. There are several ways to setup vnc on unix machines. The vnc package for unix contains a binary Xvnc, which can be used as a replacement or additional X11 server. There are various recipies in the archives of internet, even in the archives of this maillist, if they go back that long. If you are desperate and I can find the time and the data, I might dig it from my memory. Unfortunately, there are no hp-ux machines around to fetch the working settings.
