Alex, I'm afraid that I can't find any such post to this mailing list. If the red & blue components are swapped in an application then that does invariably mean that the application is ignoring the actual format of depth-24 pixels, and assuming an RGB format, while Xvnc currently defaults to BGR (for historical reasons).
