I am not sure if I understand, but if you say you start an application,
and it displays on another display, then it sounds like your DISPLAY
environment variable is being set incorrectly (perhaps in .bashrc).
Generally, if you are running in your own VNC Session, the DISPLAY
variable should be set to something like ":1.0". From a terminal window,
do "echo $DISPLAY". It may be incorrectly set to ":0".
