Can anyone give me a method to have a log file of the startup when using inetd?
Also, I should have noted that this is the 4.1.2 Free Edition. thanks Tom Wurgler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent by: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To vnc-list@realvnc.com 05/31/2007 12:50 PM cc [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject Slow VNC startup for Solaris I recently installed the 4.1.2 server on Sun Solaris ,to be started via inetd etc. It *does* work, but startup speed is very slow compared to Linux and windows. It opens a window with a basic gray background, after about 10 seconds the background turns black, then it sits for over a minute. Then the logon window comes up and you can logon. Once in, the speed is usable, but again seems less than to Linux. It has this behavior when using a Linux viewer to the Sun server and from the windows viewer to the Sun server. Linux to windows and windows to Linux are very fast to startup. It does it with both the pre-compiled version and with one I compiled myself. Any help appreciated... tom _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list VNC-List@realvnc.com To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
