Rick, I am not sure why you received the above error message. However, there is no need to even have a firewall protecting your Hamachi connection. The IP addresses that Hamachi creates are non-routable. No one can use the IP address your Hamachi client generates unless they are using Hamachi and know your network name and key. Hamachi creates an outgoing connection on both sides of the VPN tunnel that it creates. Thus, you do not need to even do any port-forwarding in your router. Each side of the tunnel will behave as if the computers were on the same LAN. I have done exactly what you are trying to do several times without any problems. This method of connecting to the VNC server is very secure. > Is it possible to do what I want by just using RealVNC without using >Hamachi? Of course, VNC will work fine without Hamachi. However, this requires some sort of port forwarding on your router and will create a much less secure connection. -Vincent _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list VNC-List@realvnc.com To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
