I'm running VNC Viewer on Windows and VNC Server on Linux.

It happens fairly often (every few days, sometimes even after two days)
that the
VNC Server hangs: Mouseclicks or keyboard has no seemingly effect
anymore.

When I log into the Linux machine, I see that the VNC Server seemingly
"went wild":
'top' reveals that the VNC server comsumes about 50% of CPU time and ist
size is with
90MB about 3 times as big as it has been after a restart.

A restart always brings back things to normal, but of course it is very
awkward to
restart the VNC server two or three times per day.

Any idea of what could be the case for such a behaviour? What can I do
to find out more
about this problem?

I am using Xvnc version 4.0b4. I know that this is not the most recent
version,
but I have no root rights on the machine and hence can not install a
newer one.

Regards,

Ronald
