You haven't provided enough details... Several things we'll need to know to help: 1) Are you trying to reach your LAN IP address over the internet (i.e. 192.168.x.y or 10.x.y.z) or are you trying to reach your "external" IP address? The former won't work over the internet. 2) Do you have a firewall or router of some type between your LAN and the internet (in all probability, you do.) You'll need to configure it to permit you to reach your machine from outside. See http://www.portforward.com for instructions on various routers. 3) Make sure you have allowed the winvnc executable to pass through the Windows XP firewall.
