Todd,

When you minimise VNC Viewer for Windows, it stops requesting updates from
the server until you restore it.  This can mean that the connection has no
traffic on it whatsoever, and that can result in underlying network
connections, particularly dial-up connections, disconnecting because they
have been idle for too long.
