Let's all just do that when responding to messages and I bet the problem disappears.

I think the reply mechanism, replying to the original sender email address better than to the list, and ccing the message to the list gives
two messages to some people. Maybe this is configurable on the list side
so the reply automatically sends messages to the list (only once), better than sending it to the original poster.
I wonder why this is done this way.
