This is an issue that's been bothering me for many years as I've used
VNC. Sometimes (I think when there's a temporary glitch in the
internet connection, but I'm not sure), the Windows VNC viewer I used
(Tight VNC, but I think all of the viewers do this) will disconnect
automatically, giving me the error message "Error while waiting for
server message." Then I have to relaunch the viewer, and reenter my
password. This is quite annoying.

Is there some way to request "auto-reconnect," so that if the viewer
suffers this sort of error, it will automatically try to reconnect?
Ideally, it would automatically reconnect to the same site and try
using the same password, but I don't know if the VNC keeps the
password in memroy. (For me, the tiny potential security risk of
having the passowrd in memory would be worth it.)

Many thanks.
