Jackie,

The current VNC 4.0 release can cause a server to reboot if "Logoff on
Disconnect" is configured, and the viewer disconnects while the machine is
*not* logged on.  This is fixed in VNC Enterprise Edition and will also be
fixed in the VNC Free Edition 4.1 release.

What sort of network are you using VNC over, between the viewer and server?
