Try port 23... that's the SSH port. If you're not using it, there's a chance
it'll work.

   Hi all.
Need a bit of help with realVNC and port changing. Like many people I
need to change the default port number from 5900 to get around a
   firewall.
However although I can get VNC fine when testing it from a computer
at home, (which doesn't have a firewall so using 5900) it works
absolutely fine, whenever i change the port setting to anything else
it won't connect and gives me a 10060 connection timed out error.

I also get the same error if I try changing the port number from 5900
even between 2 computers on my LAN at home, although it will connect
   fine on 5900.
Any reason for this - do i need to change any other settings? All i
have done is change the setting in the server, do i need to change
   anythiing on the viewer side?

Please note, I have done all this testing on systems without a
firewall so far, so getting around the firewall isn't currently the
   problem.

I have so far tried changing to ports 20, 21, 8080 and 19 and a few
   random ones.
   Thanks for any help
   Jon
