Hi, Just my 10 cents on TightVNC. I used it before I used RealVNC and it appeared to have problems rendering some graphics (I used it to remotely monitor a Fax system) so I switched to RealVNC and have had no problems. Not having file transfer may be a drawback but not as much as something which is not reliable for basic functions.
