I had problems with upgrading from 3.3.7 to 4.0. With 4.0 I was unable to establish a connection with a remote machine over the Internet when with 3.3.7 all worked fine. The solution is - go back to using 3.3.7 and don't bother using 4.0. That's what I've done!
