Problem solved.

The problem was actually that when I go home, my workstation is locked.
If I locked it manually and tested it from the Linux box, I got the
same behavior.

After peresuing the docs some more, a co-worked found the section that
said this was expected behavior if VNC server was installed as an
application.

Well, it looked like it was running as a service, but we uninstalled
and reinstalled checking only the boxes to run as a service and start
it running. Now everything is fine.

I think I had checked the viewer boxes when I first installed it, not
sure and I'm not going to mess with it now that it is working.

Thanks,
Jay
