There're two viewer options which might interest you while you're doing your
project:
1) shared connection : this prevents a connected client from being disconnected when a
new client establishes new connection

2) viewer mode : this makes a client displays only what's on server screen without
sending keyboard or mouse events back to server. So the user sitting in front of the
server won't be disturbed.
In VNC4 viewer, this option is "splitted" into several options. It would be nice if
they could be grouped together as sub-options to viewer mode.
