We have been using vnc to support our software over the internet. Our software runs on computers (2k/xp) behind firewalls, and we have developed our own application to initate the reverse connection into our machines. This works great, but with our latest customer, we ran into a snag.
With the reverse connection, it allows us to transverse the firewalls between them and us, but our newest customer has a proxy in place. Vnc can not reverse out, and we are stuck floating in the water until we can figure something out. Anybody have any ideas? right now I am working on figuring out how proxy support is handled in other applications. If anybody has any information on how this works it would also be Greatly appreciated.
