: I downloaded and compiled autocutsel v0.3 on my Solaris (SPARC) box,
: but I'm not sure how to use it with VNC.

The idea is that autocutsel runs in the background and monitors
the selection and cutbuffer, and attempts to keep them in sync.
When one changes, the other is updated, and so on. It seems to
work best on the server side, keeping the selection identical
to the cutbuffer.

So, in your ~/.vnc/xstartup, you simply run autocutsel,
and leave it in the background. Then, cutting and pasting
will work much better (though still not totally perfectly).
