I've been lurking on the VNC list for a while now trying to work out what is
going on with the Windows version of VNC. I have been using VNC for ages and
it's generally been very stable and free of major bugs.... however....
The Windows version of 3.3.6 is nasty. I am currently backing out all
installations of it back to 3.3.5. This is becuase I can't get it to work
propperly. I have seen several posts to this list echoing the problems I
have had with it and seen no real response. The two main problems are:

1) Screen update while typing (server)
If I open (for example) the 'Run' dialog and start typing I don't see the
charecters till I click on the dialog. This is NOT the case with 3.3.5. This
is a 'bug' (It doesn't seem to be a feature) of the 3.3.6 server.

2) Unable to make local screen image (viewer)
(Or error that sounds very similar)
I find myself having to reboot my vnc-client machine sometimes twice a day
becuase I cannot get the viewer to connect to a server with out reciving
this message. This again is new in 3.3.6 but effects the viewer. I have had
this error come up when trying to connect to other lower versions of VNC
with the 3.3.6 viewer.

I'm happy with 3.3.5 but I thought I should speak up. It appears that
somewhere between 3.3.5 and 3.3.6 some code took a wrong turn. I hope you
folks can figure out what it is and fix it before the release of 3.3.7. VNC
still rocks and I thank all how have worked on it.
