Hi,
I'm trying to run the current Solaris 2.5 build of Xvnc / vncserver on a machine which
I don't have root privedges to. From previous posts, it looks like I should try an
option like "-pn" or "-nolisten local" (older versions?). I've tried both ("-pn" is
actually in the vncserver script), but no joy - I still get the error as below.
_XSERVTransSocketCreateListener: failed to bind listener
_XSERVTransSocketUNIXCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: failed to create listener for local
20/01/03 17:41:00 Xvnc version 3.3.6 - built Nov 26 2002 15:55:02
etc.
If it still doesn't work after this option, should I just assume that it's not going
to work, unless I can get write access to /tmp/.x11-unix?
Many thanks!
Damian
