I have tried to connect to my PC at work using VPN. That works. I have
ADSL and my OS is Windows 2000 with latest service pack. The
authentication succeeds, but the connection is immediately terminated
after that. I used dbwin32.exe which catches OutputDebugString to see
what the developers have printed out. I saw that the connection was
terminated after login. I then tried an invalid password, and VNC
   detected that.
The web interface displays an empty site, probably of the same cause.

I use Sygate Personal Firewall 5.0 build 1150s both at work and home.
I see no TCP refusals at work, examining the logs.

I have a NetGear RP114 router, which I have forwarded the default port
to my PC with no avail.

What can be wrong? It works in the lan at work. Could it be that the
router exposes a different IP address than the VPN, which confuses
   VNC?

I'm puzzled here, since other fellows at work can make it work. The
VPN client is slow and about to be replaced by StoneGate in the near
   future.

By the way, I have tried searching the list, but I think their problem
   is different than mine... [emhammer.gif]

I appreciate any help I can get here.
