There's another running thread on NAT routers, which is almost certainly
what your router is. Incoming connections come to your router, and
there's nothing listening on port 5900 or whatever. Forward the
appropriate port from your pc onto the WAN interface on the router.

Subject: Can't figure out RoadRunner IP address
        Classification:

Hi:

Any help is greatly appreciated. I set up the "TightVNC" software at my
office which connects to the internet through a router and DSL modem into
Birch.net. I also set it up at home through a router then Cable Modem
into
Time Warner RoadRunner. From home I have no problem finding my work
computer because I have the IP address (it was received in an e-mail from
your administrator). I can't get to my home computer from work as I am
not
having luck determining the correct IP address of the Road Runner ISP that
serves my connection. I traced the route from the office and tried the
last
IP address in the path and it won't work. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tony
