Hello everyone, I have been customizing Samuel Folliard's
excellent esVNC 1.1.2 viewer and have decided to release it
to the VNC community. Previous versions had been released
to a small circle of fellow geeks, but now I think it is
ready for the big time : ) It can be used with any VNC
server, so if you're running Windows please give it a try.
Here are some of the most significant features I have added
(I am most proud of the full screen enhancements):
Enhanced Session Configuration
Sam Folliard's excellent session dialog box has been made
even easier to use. A
good example of this is the ability to enter a password
before trying to
connect. You can also start the viewer in full screen!
Fullscreen Resolution Switching
This feature attempts to match the resolution of your
display to the resolution
of the server display. No more black borders or tedious
scrolling!
Fullscreen Quick Menu Access
In fullscreen mode, move your mouse to the lower-right
corner. Like magic, the
menu appears! Combined with resolution switching, this
makes fullsceen mode
practical and easy to use (finally!).
Optimized Menu
The menu is optimized for fast access to options. It even
displays how many
colors are being transfered and what IP address you are
connected to!
Mouse Button 3 Emulation Autodetect
The viewer detects how many mouse buttons you have, and then
enables or disables
mouse button 3 emulation automatically. There is no point
in emulating the
third mouse button if you already have a one.
Enhanced User Interface
The original user interface has been improved with dozens of
tiny improvements.
For example, the authentication dialog box now displays
what server you are
authenticating to. This is especially useful if you forget
what computer a
saved connection points to.
And there is where you can download:

Special thanks to Sam Folliard for his excellent esVNC
distribution!
