Hi Eve, When you say you got your iPhone 5, please tell me you got a 5S.
Anyhow, if somebody created the Apple Id for you, how did you handle creating security questions and answers and your password? Did that person do this hence does he/she know all your security answers as well as your password? If so I really really recommend you change both your security questions/answers and your password by going to Http://AppleID.apple.com, sign in and then change these things. Now, as far as deleting text messages that is super easy. All you have to do is swipe up with one finger on a text message and Voiceover will say "Delete", double tap anywhere on the screen at that point and the text message is gone. Do you have visual voice mail? I had it for a while, but went back to regular voice mail because I rarely get any voice mails since mostly I answer my phone. Anyhow, deleting might work the same way as text messages, maybe somebody else can confirm this or, if it is different, explain the procedure. As for ringtones, those have to be synced to the phone with iTunes. When you say the keyboard sort of freezes, is that in iTunes or just after you connect your phone? You might have to provide a bit more information here like what kind of computer is it (Windows PC/laptop or Mac), what version of Windows do you have, what screenreader including version do you use and have you installed the newest version of iTunes?
